Christmas Madness

Ann from Cakes By Ann had a fantastic time at Madness - 'To The Edge Of The Universe And Beyond' gig - SECC Glasgow 12th December 2006.

Ann was invited backstage to the after gig party to meet Suggs and the Nutty Boys and present them with a Madness cake.

The cake was decorated with the bands famous logo and everyone comented how great the cake looked.

Suggs said a big thank you to Ann who has been a Madness fan since she was fourteen years old.

Ann said "The show was fantastic, Madness could still give most boy bands a run for their money when it comes to entertainment, and it brought back a lot of happy memories from my days of going to disco's".

Ann also met other band members and enjoyed the night adding more celebrities to the list of famous people she has created cakes for or will create for in the future.

In May I had the pleasure to create and present a cake to a celebrity, I was so excited.

The celebrity was none other than Roy "Chubby" Brown.

My husband and I went backstage and presented him with a square cake with the Chubby cartoon caracter on it and the words of his famous catchphrase.

Roy was really nice and made us feel so welcome, as did all his staff and I would like to say a big thank you to them for a great night.

Now for River City fans out there, I'm more of a fan-atic and watch it religiously, no one can have a conversation with me when it is on tv, even the phone knows better than to ring.

Well tonight I met Ryan Fletcher, Vader to all those who have not had the pleasure to watch the greatest scottish soap ever.

I got my photo taken with Ryan holding the cake we delivered for his brother Scott's 18th birthday.
